Walk across the Tartaro Valley

Walk across the Tartaro Valley

About 15 minutes from the Otto Ducati d'Oro hotel to reach the Valley

If you are a lover of nature and bird-watching, explore the fascinating world of the Tartaro Valley, populated by a variety of birds, including the imposing grey heron. The valley is approximately 15-minute walk from our hotel, though due to its size, your walk you can turn into a real adventure whose length depends on the path you choose.

You can even reach the town of Isola della Scala by crossing the Valley and passing through the romantic "Giarella bridge", a place where the two rivers, Tartaro and Piganzo, meet and create a rapids-like effect. There was once a mill in Giarella and its remains are still visible today.

Giarella marks the boundary between the countryside and the town, so after crossing it you will be able to grab a bite from the bar e gelaterie in the town centre.

To go back to the relais 8 Ducati d'Oro, you can close the ring-like circuit that will in a few minutes take you to via Bastia or decide to enjoy again the wonders of the countryside by going back along the same trail.
